I stayed at La Place DuPuis for over a week. What a great experience due to the friendly service, French/English (bilingual) speaking staff. Excellent view of Montreal and great location near a lot of activities. The hotel is on top of a mall, which was convenient given that it was cold and snowing outside. The concierge service was excellent. Loved the buffet - lots of variety - can't miss the baguettes! Great value and experience.

The staff of the hotel was most gracious, and the room was impecable. No worries here about dining options, given the shops in the little mall attached to the hotel and the variety of dining within blocks. Could not ask for a better location near cultural events with each reach to downtown

We had issues with 3 burned out lightbulbs in the room that were never replaced despite repeated attempts. Also, parking is expensive, but worth it.

The hotel is perfectly located for divers/cite events. Right at the start of the gay village, and across the street from the park where many of the events are held. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will go back next year.

First time traveling to Montreal. Chose the moderately priced hotel over the internet. The hotel itself was nice, the pool a good size, their restaurant food good, and the concierge extremely helpful. I found out that the hotel is located in the heart of the gay community though. Something to keep in mind. My boys and I did shop on Ste. Catherines street by the hotel. It seemed 80% of the crowd were gay couples but we didn't feel uncomfortable during our stroll. There were a couple of inappropriate shops to avoid.
