Top 3 Worst Hotels I've EVER Stayed In

  • June 18, 2009
  • Rated 1 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
This hotel is one of the worst in my opinion. Here are some reasons: Dirty entry way, note saying if your phone doesn't work come down and you can use the one at the desk, exterior doors propped open w/ stones late at night, dirty, smelly carpet in the hallways, insects in the elevator which was dirty and smelly as well. No air-conditioning in the hallways, window air unit in the room was extremely loud and did not provide sufficient cooling and of course, our phone really didn't work. This hotel was so bad I called Travel online almost as soon as we checked in to try and find something for the second night. Travel online was very helpful, connecting me w/ another hotel and making sure I was satisfied before they left me on the phone w/ the other property. There were old, damaged air conditioning units laying outside on the ground by the elevator entrance too. I wasn't expecting a Five Star hotel, but I wasn't expecting what to me amounted to a flop house. Avoid at all costs.

Quant and Comfy - With Great Customer Service

Location is great if you are visiting someone at the college. Right next to a large mall and various resturants and stores. Just minutes from the college. Staff great to respond to any problems. Was first put in a smoking room and they quickly moved me to a non-smoking room. Beds were comfortable and with the sink outside of the bathroom, allows 2 people to get ready at the same time. Contiental breakfast has great options hot and cold - something for everyone's taste. Will stay again when daughter starts attending college!

This hotel was in a great location, was clean and had a few decent amenities. It's nothing fancy but really meets the needs of the traveler who is looking for a good place to stay while being out and about most of the day. I appreciated the free long distance and WiFi as well.

Ants in the bed

Hotel has hygiene problems. After unloading car and taking kids to inspect pool, wife started noticing multiple issues with cleanliness in building, bathroom. Final straw was when we peeled back comforter and found ants crawling in the bed. Went next door to see if room was available at Ramada before reloading car. When I told night mgr. we weren't staying, he (politely) claimed he couldn't void charge because it had to be done within 10 minutes of check-in. Next morning I returned to speak with mgr. and she had already erased charge. Still... traveler beware.
