NOT WORTH THE PRICE

Spent a lot of time researching for a place to stay for a weekend getaway. Got a "cottage" room assuming it would look like the one on their website (nice couch in front of fireplace, etc.). Got a room that was pretty much like any other hotel room with the exception of the fireplace and it still cost $340 a night. It looks nothing like the picture on their website (the cottage room for $340) so be aware of that. When checking in I asked if the room was in a quiet location. Was assured that it was. It faced De La Vina Street and it was anything but quiet. Had a private patio completely surrounded by a six foot fence with landscaping that was severely neglected. Got back Saturday after a day in Santa Barbara and the room had been serviced but the door was left wide open? Ran out of toilet paper Sunday morning so I went to the guest bathroom near the lobby and took a roll. (There were NO extra rolls in the room, only what was on the holder). The continental breakfast is not much, cold cereal, bagels, muffins, cheese, bananas and apples. for $340 a night I expected more. No coffee in the room so you have to get dressed to get that first cup. Wine and cheese spread with crackers in the afternoon. Oreos and milk in the evening. OK if you like Oreos but a selection would be nice.
All in all I was disappointed considering the money we spent.
Its a very nice place, the staff very friendly, but don' t let the pictures on the website deceive you. You're paying luxury rates for few amenities. If you just want a clean place to stay in Santa Barbara you can find much cheaper.
