The Willard cannot be beat for a great location and historic ambience. It has the combination of the best of modern luxury and a sense of history. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The Christmas decorations in the lobby were lovely. Will spoil you.
Vacationing in DC at luxury hotel Willard

This was a special anniversary trip and since we both love history, we chose DC. We knew the Willard was a historical hotel in the perfect location for sight seeing and even though for us it was expensive, we thought it was worth it. We had a wonderful 6 days there. Everyone was helpful, courteous, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel accepted no matter what our status was. The food was excellent as well as the service.
We felt very welcome and loved the comforts and luxury the hotel provided, especially after a
long day of touring and walking. If we can save the money again, we would go back and take our children and grandchildren. All citizens should visit our capitol. It is a wonderful city and makes you proud to be an American.

We had a wonderful experience at the Willard and loved the attached French Bistro - great for meeting friends and socializing in their comfortable outdoor seating area. The hotel staff was efficient and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful, Luxurious, and OUTSTANDING Service

We fell in love with this hotel, which was part of our two-week honeymoon. If you love "old-world" elegance matched with history and sophistication that also includes all the modern-day conveniences, you will LOVE this place. It is also only "two doors down" from the White House. The bed was the most comfortable bed we'd ever slept in--we felt like we were at home. Don't forget to look up at the ceiling where all 50 state seals are ornately designed. Everywhere we turned, it was beautiful and grand.

This hotel is gracious and lovely. It was quite quiet, as this was a summer weekend. Tea was delicious in Peacock Alley. It was a disappointment that many travellers did not dress for the occasion.
