Summer Family Vacation

  • July 14, 2009

We visited The Willard over the 4th of July weekend. We have two young daughters. We had a fantastic trip and look froward to returning in the future. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was quiet and roomy. The food in the restaurants was fantastic but a bit pricey. The location of the hotel can not be beat. You can walk to many national landmarks and easily use the Metro. We also enjoyed riding the Open Top Bus that stopped right outside the hotel. We recommend this hotel to all types of travelers. The experience was very memorable for the entire family.

Incredible!

The location of hotel is excellent. The hotel is beautiful and elegant. My husband and I travel alot and certain things are important to us. This hotel met all of our expectations and above! Rooms are generous in size and very comfortable. Room service was fast. We were able to use the double-decker buses (stops in front of hotel every 1/2 hour) to sight see in Washington DC. This is even better than the metra because you can see things while moving! What a great staff of people. Every night we would walk by the white house (spectacular). Dinner one night at cafe in front of hotel (very romantic). Not the place for children. But for others it is perfect! Oh and the best part is there are many familiar faces from around the country and world staying here!....So fun!

Best location on Memorial Day weekend! Having a great location and 24 hour valet parking in the middle of chaos is priceless!! The best part was taking a jog first thing in the morning and being close enough to all major monuments, museums but then coming back to enjoy our delicious breakfast brought by room service. Our room on the 7th floor had an amazing view!!

One of my favorite hotels
