Feel the Heat in a Cool Place

We stayed at the Marquis Villas for several days in July. The hotel is 2 blocks from Palm Canyon Drive, and next to a casino. The resort has huge rooms with full kitchens and large living areas. You can walk to almost everything in the downtown area (restaurants and bars). The resort is well maintained and very clean. The pool area was nice, but the poolside bar service was closed during our stay. The hotel staff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel also has free secure parking.

"The rooms are 1 bedroom apartments with fireplaces, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen. It is about 2 blocks from downtown, but not a bad walk. The grounds are lovely with pool/spa, tennis and basketball courts. Only real complaint is check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. It is not worth going for one night, but 2 nights or longer is great. Best Things Nearby:
Joshua Tree National Park
Indian Canyons
San Jacinto Mountains

Best Things About the Resort:
Spacious unit and great shower
Wonderful Pool and Jacuzzi
In the heart of Palm Springs

Resort Experience:
The resort was being worked on (new carpets, etc.), but it was very spacious and the staff was great. You could walk to a lot in Palm Springs (we enjoyed the Cold Stone Creamery).

Joshua Tree National Park was great. The kids really enjoyed the Junior Ranger program and scrambling up the rocks. The trees and cactus and rock formations were fun to see, with a great view of Palm Springs.

The tour of Tanquitz Indian Canyon was enjoyable as well.
