This hotel is awesome! From the front desk associates to the chef in the restaurant and bar, the staff was friendly and helpful and made our stay there very relaxing. The retro decor is cool and the bar is very trendy. The room was comfortable and clean as well. We will definitely stay here again. We didn't have time to take advantage of the pool and weight room and would like to do that on our next stay.
Loved it, loved it, loved it!

My husband and I stayed here one night for our second-wedding anniversary. We loved the contemporary decor throughout the hotel including our room. The building appears a bit stark from the outside--not much greenery on the grounds surrounding the building--but the inside more than made up for it. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. We ate dinner at Sam & Harry's, food was good but not great; waitstaff was very nice and the couch seating was awkward at first, but made for a nice and cozy dinner in the end. There is a nice cafe that serves Starbucks coffee and pastries, which is a good alternate to the usual hotel buffet fare. There is a great lobby area on the second-floor with nice seating around a very modern fireplace. If you're from out of town, this location is very convenient for shopping and dining.
We would stay again.

Would not return. Would not recommend.
After reading so many great reviews about this place, I was excited for our group to stay here. To my dismay . . . . .
Manager was not responsive to the poor service his staff other than providing lip service and a canned mailed letter inviting us to some back for another round of misery.
Front desk staff was rude and not service oriented.
When we were leaving on Sunday morning, we attempted to park our vehicle close to the building for 10 minutes rather than the 5 minute walk from the parking lot to load our luggage and we were told we could not. It seemed their way of making us pay for the valet service they offere. Two children's library books were left in our room when we departed. The hotel would not reimburse us the $15 in fees for books that dissapeared in their hotel.
Loud music blaring in courtyard of hotel for some odd reason.

The Schaumburg Renaisance is a wonderful hotel! Our Granddaughter Rachel wrote a note saying "Thank you so much we had a great time!" My wife Kathy and I stayed at the suppossedly 5 STAR Conrad Hotel in Indy, and the Renaissance far better than the Conrad! AT HALF THE PRICE! Thank you for the GREAT EXPERIENCE! We will definitely stay again!

This hotel is superb. The decor, the public areas, the room everything was really modern and stylish. I had a great check-in, the door man was polite, the room was fabu, a flat panel TV embedded in the bathroom mirror WOW! The roomservice was great food! The rooms were immaculately clean (not sure what the last reviewer saw). The only complaint was the music in the lobby (hip-hop and Madonna pop? How about some cool jazz or ambient) and the parking was a big distance from the door.
