Great inn...fun to stay in a quaint village within walking distance to lots of stores. Did not eat there, but looked like a nice dining area. I wish I could have had a manicure/pedicure onsite, or a massage. I was exhausted after skiing!

Middlebury Inn

Middlebury Inn

This is THE place to stay in Middlebury if you can afford the high daily rate. The doors of the Middlebury Inn opened in 1827 and since then has offered excellent food, drink and lodging with all of the comforts and modern conveniences a traveler can expect from an outstanding hotel. Staying here was a treat since I usually stay in hostels but I have a friend here who gave me a deal.

The location is ideal-overlooking the Town Green and close to everything.

Each room at this Inn is unique. There are 75 rooms including 10 in the Porter House Mansion. All rooms have full, private contemporary baths, afternoon tea is served daily, a continental buffet is included in your room rate, local calls are free, there is a tv, and dataports for laptop computers in each room. The Country Peddler Gift Shop features Vermont made products.

There is a beautiful lobby area with a working fireplace, and a comfortable bar.

Lodging can range from a low of $76 for a single to $365 a night for a suite...take your pick.
