Beautiful Hotel, Yet Unwelcoming Service

I stayed in this hotel for one night in Miami. Upon check-in I was greeted by a new, younger employee who had trouble processing my check-in with Hilton HHonors. Not only was the agent young and had pierces, he also was not professional in welcoming me. The supervisor, who was slightly older came over and processed my check-in and gave me an upgrade ocean view room. The room was amazingly comfortable and well kept, except that there were red wine stains on the floor and the wheels on the desk chair were broken. Bed was amazingly comfortable and bathroom was large and spacious. Everything else was fine except until after check-out. I had to store my luggage for the day as I had an evening departure at MIA. No problem dropping off luggage, however upon pick-up that changed. I waited 25 minutes for the concierge to retrieve my luggage. Upon asking what the delay was for, he said "Sir I apologize for the delay. I need to work on this situation for another guest". While this is an amazingly modern and comfortable hotel, I'll be taking my business to the JW Marriott next time I'm in the area as a result of the (lack of) service.
Nice hotel for business needs

Very nice hotel for businesses needs. Nice rooms. Do not book room directly with the hotel. After my business meetings I wanted to stay an additional night. I went to the front desk to arrange this and the price increase was enormous. If you book through online travel the room rate is much much cheaper than booking direclty with the hotel. Not a lot to do around the area, but South Beach is only 15 minutes away. It is hard to get a spot to lay out at the pool. Seating is very limited. Would stay there again for business purposes only.

Traveled with 2 kids and wife. Not quite as nice as the Conrad Chicago. Fantastic pool which is perfect for lap swimmers and family. Great tennis courts, and bar. You should upgrade to suite if there are more than 2 people.

My husband and I stayed at Conrad Miami with another couple during the weekend before Labor Day and the hotel was excellent. Clean spacious room, large pool (although it closes too early), attentive service, I'd stayed at Conrad Miami again without hesitation. My only quips about the property: the pool closes too early (closes at sunset basically and its only because its in a separate building from the main building) and the parking situation (but I suppose that's everywhere in Miami - they make you feed meters until 12midnight everywhere at a rate of $* per hour) - you are forced to utilize valet parking. The hotel is not in Miami Beach (where the action is at) but its quiet, which is what you want to return to after a night out in South Beach. Lovely amenities including MOLTON BROWN toiletries, turn down service. If you are get a room with a bay view - its gorgeous at night (we didn't get that - we got city view so all we saw is construction. South Beach is a quick 10 minute ride away on the causeway. Whatever you do, do not rent a scooter from STAR SCOOTERS on 6th Street between Washington and Collins. We had so many problems with them (bad customer service, rude, disrespectful to customers, in general, just very unprofessional, dodge-y) and the worse part-they were recommended by the hotel. I advised the hotel about their recommendation and they were pretty quick to make things up to me. Although I did expect a bit more than a 6 pack and some plantain chips to make things right with me. I mean I felt like I was going to need the Miami Police! (but hey they tried) All in all - excellent place. i mean it !
The perfect downtown hotel

The hotel is great, even when they are working on a few structural changes that can produce few inconveniences. But staff is outstanding and complete a perfect package.
For a downtown hotel (not close to beaches) it?s the perfect place.
