Wonderful location

We stayed for 5 days and were very pleased with everything. The location was perfect and very close to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, where we spent the majority of our time. It cost $6 to go over the bridge to the islands each day but it's worth it if you want to save several hundred dollars for this hotel, as opposed to others on the islands which may not give you the same value for your money. This hotel was exactly like a Marriott; the room set up, free breakfasts and pool. The area was so quiet- it was exactly what we needed. There are great outlets very close to the hotel; Claiborne, Jones, Gap, etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would highly recommend this hotel. Tip- if you're from the Northeast and used to very large beaches like we are, you will be surprised. Sanibel is set up with several smaller beach areas and very limited parking at $2/hour. We found the perfect beach on Captiva Island near the end of the island. It's also limited parking but if you're patient, you'll get a spot and it WILL be worth spending your time there.

Spent 5 nights here just to relax. Enjoyed every minute of it. The room was clean, the pool was great, the gas grill worked well, and the location was central. Nice area. Pillows were mushy, but they brought extras..... good customer service.

Bathrooms need major updating

My dad and I stayed at this hotel in March of '09, after having stayed here about 4 years prior. We had remembered it being a very nica and clean hotel with continental breakfast. It still has the continental breakfast, however, the hotel is not as clean as I remember. The bathroom had a mildew kind of smell that digusted me everytime I had to use it. The shower had mildew spots in the corners by the wall. The morning after our first night in the hotel I requested that housekeeping pay special attention to the bathroom so it didn't smell anymore. The manager was very nice about the complaint and notified housekeeping immediately, but the housekeeper failed to clean it any better. Staff was exceptionally friendly, but I would not stay here again until they do a renovation.

Perfect!!!!!!!!!

All in all, this hotel was exactly what I wanted. Both for location and for the price. Will definately stay there again, while in Fort Myers.
