Great Hotel, friendly staff, amazing location. About a 4 min walk to Disneyland gates. Disney's nightly firework show is visible from the hotels main pool and hot tub area. The giftshop had all the essentials but was a bit pricey. Will defiantly stay here again next time we visit!

We stayed here in April of 2006 and had a great experience. Our kids were 3 & 7 and it was a great hotel for our family. The pool was great and the wading pool meant that our 3yo could play on her own which she loved. we walked to the park each day and took the shuttle back (with both kids sleeping in our arms it was a bit much to walk back). We packed bowls and spoons and cereal (it sounds goofy but it was really convenient and saved $$) in our luggage and bought milk in the on site shop. Also, McDonalds is within walking distance (it is actually between the hotel and Disneyland). We had no need for a rental car. Our room was large (two queen beds and a rollaway for the kids!) and had lots of storage space to spread out. My only wish was that there was no elevator so we had to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs when we checked in and out. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our first and last visit to this hotel. Our room faced HWY 5 and could hear the traffic all night. The room a/c would only stay at one temp. and the bath room tub had rust.
The lobby was cool and retro, but rooms were very dated and not very clean. Not till we got to our room were we informed that they were closing the main pool down the next day for construction.
With all the hotels on Harbor Dr. I would look into staying at another hotel that might cost me a few extra dollars. This one cost me more than it should have,
great stay

We stayed at HOJO on our recent trip to disneyland, the hotel is across the street from the DL resort, about a 10 min walk ( after afull day in the park it feels like a long walk) .
Our room was in tower 1 on the sixth floor, we had the best view of disney, and prime viewing of the fireworks. We did not have noise problems from the freeway, i think that was due to the building we were in . The room was a little out dated, alot of orange and brown colors it looked like something from the 70's, and the bathroom was real small, but this hotel had the most comfortable beds i have ever sleept on, at a hotel. It was like sleeping in my own bed.. We left this hotel happy, and will return..

This hotel met our expectations. Room was large and kept clean. Front desk staff were very helpful, as was the gentleman who held our bags in a room for us our last day, since we had a late flight. Housekeeping was great, never bothered us, but did their job perfectly. The pool area was clean, but we did not use the pool. A bonus was that we could see the fireworks from the hotel property, but after seeing the Fantasmic Show and Fireworks in the park, I recommend going into the park for the full effect! Loved that we were close to Mimi's Restaurant (love their salads and muffins) and would pass McDonald's on the way to and from Disneyland...great for coffee. We enjoyed the Disneyland Archive show on the room tv, it was shown over and over, great history about Disney and Disneyland. My only complaints... the room was near the freeway, but luckily not in front of it (like some rooms were). The windows are insulated with extra glass and we were in a building 2, second floor just behind the office and once nightime arrives and you want to sleep, the freeway is so noisey. They need a taller soundwall, as you can see the cars and trucks going by and they create loud noises in passing. Also, the extra semi-round windows, at night, if someone went on their balcony, they could watch you in your bed! They need some curtains that you can pull closed in rooms like that. Nice touch that you get a message from manager, but it's on the phone message which lights up on the phone, which made me nervous that maybe something was wrong at home until I heard the message. I would recommend & stay again.
