Room Not Ready/Wrong Room

This hotel is a good location if you are going to the L.A. Zoo. Because we had a 1 year old, we specifically reserved a deluxe suite with a sofa sleeper. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm and were told the room would be ready at 3pm (check-in time). Our daughter needed a serious nap after the zoo, so we stayed in the lobby from 1pm-3pm and tried to get her to sleep, to no avail. At 3pm we were told that the room would be ready in 30 minutes! Now anyone with a 1 year old that has not taken a nap can understand if your room is not ready at 3pm, you are going to be a little upset (along with the 4 other families that were told 3pm). To make matters worse, they gave us the studio with 2 double beds instead of the deluxe suite with sofa sleeper. But at 3:45pm with a cranky 1 year old, you no longer care and will sleep anywhere with a bed. Not to mention the filthy hallways and lobby and lack of service all they way around. The place has potential if they fire the staff and get new management!
