Pretty Good Deal

This was my second time staying at the Ambassador and my first in the Admiral's club. There was a separate entrance for the Club members and our suite was large and comfortable. We did get the sleep number bed and we liked being able to adjust the firmness of the matress. There's also music in the small bar area (middle aged to senior crowd) with live music and dance floor. This is probably a safe place to practice your latin dancing with no pressure :-) The roof top pool was fun and clean. The adjacent exercise room had good equipment and TVs. Things to note before you book: while the hotel is well kept, it clearly has not been renovated in many years (dated art deco); if you need a modern or trendy appearance, this is not the hotel for you. Ditto if you need everything to be in perfect working condition (e.g., one of the two bathroom sinks had a slow drain). There is a casino on main floor of the hotel; I don't gamble but someone in our party noted that the black jack cards were pre-shuffled and thought this was rather "fishy." I would suggest requesting a room on one of the top floors if you are sensitive to noise as I would imagine that the music can be heard in surrounding rooms. Lastly, as others have noted, the hotel is not on the beach but you can easily walk there.

The Best Place to Be

I could not believe the professional manner in which this hotel and its staff presented themselves. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and always someone there to assist your needs with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel and will be returning. Thank you!

Was expecting a little more

This hotel is becoming run-down. Nothing very special. Hotel had electrical problems, the room had toilet problems and the restaurant had communication issues between the wait staff and the kitchen culminating in our simple order taking 40 minutes to prepare. One can do better. Took this hotel for the cheaper price but will pay a little more next time and stay somewhere else.

A Pleasant Stay at the Radisson

2 main things that we liked about this hotel: Location and People

- Location: Its located 2 blocks from the beach. All restaurants are within walking distance. The airport is 15 min away, Old San Juan is around 10 min and Isla Verde is 10 min away. There's a bus stop 5 min away from the hotel and bus route B21 goes to Old San Juan. Its 75 cents/person on the bus or $17 for a taxi.

- People: Everybody here was so helpful. We got bumped to their Ambassador suite and got complimentary drinks at the grill. The people at the reception were nice enough to give us directions to where ever we wanted to go. We asked for a microwave and they brought one over to our room.

The hotel was under construction when we arrived and the front desk was so busy. It took my party 2 hours to check in to our rooms. The service and casino was good and the people were very friendly. The hotel was right on the beach and we loved the area. A good hotel and would stay there again.
