Description: In the winter the Peaks offers ski in/ski out access to the Telluride Ski Area and in the summer, the Peaks is a beautiful alpine resort. There are over 170 rooms at the Peaks but be aware that some of the rooms are better than others. Some of the rooms face the parking lot while others have sweeping panaromic views. Many of the rooms have terraces but some do not. Luckily, the goose down pillows and lavish robes are in every room and each bathroom is stocked with wonderful smelling hand creams and shampoos as well as a package of bath salts and a loofah. I personally thought placing the real estate advertisement on the rack next to the toilet was a bit pushy but I understand marketing only works when strategically placed. Each night, when your maid turns down your bed she will leave fresh homemade cookies on your pillow but if you happen to be a guest on a rare hot day, there is nothing you can do because there is no airconditioning at the hotel. There is an indoor pool with a slide and an outdoor pool. If you aren't suffering from altitude sickness, the gym is full of the top of the line equipment. The lobby is an atrium and has inviting overstuffed chairs and couches as well as a breathtaking view of the mountains. The late night musical entertainment and rowdy guests, however, can be heard as the sound isn't contained well in the atrium and tends to echo around the hotel.
