The location was terrific - convenient to both 6th and 7th Aves. Room was on the large side, for a Manhattan hotel. We had a "deluxe queen" which offered a jacuzzi - we never used it but it was nice having a deep tub to relax in at the end of the day. Could have used a hand bar to get out of it, though, so be careful! Plenty of hot water! Amenities: a small fridge, but no matter how we tried to regulate it, it froze our fruit (bought at Ernest Klein grocer's on 6th, up a block); I complained, was told it would be replaced, but it wasn't. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was quiet. The elevators were a bit slow, but they worked. All in all, a good deal!
Extremely Disappointing

I picked this hotel based on the reviews here and against my better judgment. My disappointment started from the moment we entered the small poorly lit lobby and the very unfriendly host. The d'cor in the hallway looked like some cheap sleazy motel in a movie. For a hotel this big, only two of the three elevators were operational which took forever to go up or down the 14th floor we were on. The room was big and nice , mostly clean, however, the fire sprinkler next to the bed was covered in cobwebs and dust bunnies! The tub shower had a half door, which left the floor wet after every shower, no matter how careful one was. Toiletries were sparse, but I always travel with my own anyway. I had to call the lobby multiple times for washcloths because house-keeping never left any. We asked for bottled water on day 2 and were told that the water is complementary for the first day only?after that you have to buy your own. I have stayed in hotels for the same amount of money where you get daily complementary bottles of water and sometimes even chocolates, and of course much better service. Only one person at the front desk was always nice and warm, and I was sure to let him know that he made all the difference there. The rest of them had very flat affects, and couldn?t seem to be bothered by their customers. I cannot express my disappointment enough, but I know for sure that I will never stay there again.
Exactly like all the reviews said

Pros - GREAT location,,, staff was attentive to our needs,2 bedroom flat was fairly spacious, lots of towels, clean
Cons - no water pressure in early morning, dingy lighting, uncomfortable sofas, poor tv reception, odd smell of toiletries
more like staying at a condo than hotel

I would not stay at this hotel again if it is the last hotel in NY City. I was lied to by the check in staff and misled several times. Several amenities advertised on the website were not available. The room had mulitple dysfunctional items.
Flatotel was a great place to stay!

For New York City this hotel was great. Reasonable price, clean rooms, large rooms, excellent desk chair in the room. The front desk people were great, room service was very fast with anything you needed. 10 minute walk from Broadway, close to Times Square, close enough to Rockefeller Center and Central Park. Just far enough away from the really expensive areas, but in a nice area. Felt perfectly safe walking back to the hotel from a Broadway show at 11:30 pm.
I'd stay there again.
