Hotel was nothing fancy, and had a nice quirky charm to it. Room was comfortable. Location was very convenient to where we wanted to go (U Penn). And the price was great.

The Latham is so close to so many things! I was able to enjoy the marvelous restaurants and lounges in the upscale Rittenhouse Square area, and I could also walk to Old City and enjoy the rich history of Philly. The rooms aren't very big, but are very cosy for a couple. Request a room facing the street, otherwise I was told a brick wall would be your view. The hotel staff was very nice and very helpful, especially the concierge/doorman!! I wish I could remember his name because he was awesome!! If you're going to Philly to enjoy everything the city has to offer, I would highly recommend this hotel!! It'll be where I stay again if I go back!

The hotel and its staff were great. Everyone on staff was able to help and answer any questions. The Hotel was nice and clean. there was a bit of construction going on across the street but it id not make the experience less enjoyable nor did it disturb our stay. They vista from our hotel room was not great . we were facing another building at close proximity

I had high hopes when I originally booked the hotel. The website (though a little outdated) gave positive information and decent pictures. When I arrived at the hotel, it was obvious that the photos had been taken many years ago. The rooms were relatively clean, the bathrooms
I was really looking forward to this so called "Europen style hotel" and my fiirst reaction when I went into the lobby was This is not the hotel I saw on the web and it looks like a one star hotel in Europe. The lobby is furnished with run down furniture, the elevator fits two small people and two small bags. The room was small and the furniture looked like it came from Goodwell. There were lots of worn spots, scratches, etc. There were no antique furniture as I expected. Location is good. There are well known hotels in the area for about the same price and much more modern. All in all very dissapointing. Priced too high

We stay at the lathan all the time, the valet parking is great, its around all the main stores on walnut st, barnes and noble many places to eat, and transportation. its not big bit its cozy private and not a dump.
I like the bar/resturante down stairs free internet and gym. no room service, but if you want to go to the waldorf book there. this is cozy and quiet.
