I arranged a group resevation for 10 rooms at this hotel for a funeral at Arlington for my granfather. They didn't hold my reservation until I arrived even though I called for late check in. Their food ,room service especially, sucked. They didn't put us all on the same foor even though we requested it. They are renovating half of the hotel floors at a time, not half like floor one and two half as in half on each floor. THe pounding and noise is constant. The rooms weren't the cleanest. All of the ice/vending machines are located behing the renovations on all the floors. The manager didn't act like it was an issue when he charged my card four times instead of twice for the room and told me I'd half to wait until Monday to fix it. The power keps failing on different floors because of the construction. None of which was disclosed to us when I arranged to hold our event here. My family is in mouring, we are burying someone we love and this hotel has made a bad situation a hell of a lot worse. Would never stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is seriously in need of a facelift. The lobby looks like a motel lobby.
Our bathroom was not clean. Mold in the shower making me question the cleanliness of the room. One of the glasses left in the room for our use had lipstick on it. We requested that one of the beds be remade as it did not have a mattress pad on it, when we returned at the end of the day we made a second request as this had not been done. We were told by one of the housekeeping staff that they had "run out" of mattesss pads but she found an empty room and stripped one of those beds.
Convenient location, corporatation needs to address the issues that will continue to draw clients, this hotel seriously needs a facelift it's being left behind by hotels that are more in tune with what travelers want.
Mold & Mildew

The bathrrom had alot of black mold and mildew in addition to that re/orange stuff in the tile grout. The bathroom seat was chipped in several places. Electrical lugs were all loose, could keep my laptop plugged in. Mentioned the mold problem at checkout and no real response except that she'd have housekeeping look at it. I took photos and sent it to Hyatt Corporate, but no response either.
