Quaint Inexpensive hotel in NYC!

Great location! Large ensuite bathroom with tub/shower combo. Room faced the street, across from Fox Studios. Saw Vester Show recommend the experience. Nearby, Evergreen restaurant is inexpensive w/good breakfast. Comfortable queen size bed. Staff was friendly provided extra pillowsIf you want status this is not the place. If you want to save money and sleep well this is the place. Quality and cost of rooms vary; decide if spending a little more is worth it to have a private bath. It was to this middle aged couple.

This hotel is great. It's not fancy, but it's clean and quiet. It's 1 block from Times Square and a block from a subway station. It is right in the middle of all the action. We got a room with a PRIVATE bath and a queen-size bed for $140. You can't beat that anywhere in the city. They had lockers for our bags if we got there too early to check-in. Plus, they had a small workout room, washer/dryers, and free Internet access. The beds were nice and the tiled bathroom in our room was HUGE. I loved it and will be staying here again. We had a double bed and a bath. The room was small, but most are in NYC. This is the best budget hotel in the midtown area. The rate for the room was $115.00 and an extra 10% off because we were AAA members. The hotel is located a few steps from the tkts booth. Also, they have some rooms available with shared baths that run $60.00 a day. www.portlandsquarehotel.com
