Nice hotel

Nice hotel, clean and the staff was helpful. We have house keeping everyday although they seem to come really early in the am. The pool was pretty cold everyday and there is a lot of shade by the pool. I didnt like the fact that people would "reserve" spots by the pool all day and were never there. They pass out fresh fruit on the beach and by the pool periodically throught the day and there is wait staff at the beach to bring you drinks!! Dont bother with the $20.00 buffet breakfast (yes literally $20.00 per person) it was just awful! The pizzeria down the street (to the left when you exit) has great breakfast for a great price. Also the little mexican resturant across the street from the pizzeria has great food and great waitstaff. Dont waste your money on a taxi unless you have to because the bus takes you almost anywhere and drops you right off in old san juan. Old San Juan is great for shopping and the Coach Outlet is a must! I wish we would have spent more time there but couldnt seem to get off the beach! We had a great time and the people all over are very friendly and speak english.

My husband and I had a GREAT time. We were able to check in 3 hours early and the process took less than 3 minutes. Front desk clerk was very helpful when I was given a double room and needed it switched to a king. The area is beautiful, the beach outside the hotel is clean, and the service is great. There are numerous really good restaurants within walking distance. There was a live band every single night in the lobby if you wanted entertainment without going far. I would recommend EVERYONE to stay there. The hotel is kid friendly, but I was not bothered or distracted by kids at all! My husband and I are already planning another trip there for our 1 year anniversary in December and we are planning to take a family vacation in July! We love it!!!!!
rip-off

the hotel drinks were weak & the food was bad. alot of little things that were not included in my very expensive room rate that cost me a lot of extra money.
breakfast had a very limited selection, at 20$ a person, i want more than bagels and omlets. room serivce took about 30-45 minutes for simple orders like burgers and chicken sandwiches, which were very expensive, and not very good.
chairs on the beach were free, but umbrellas were 12$ for the day and charged to your room.
however you could not reserve chairs on the beach so if you paid for an umbrella and wanted to leave and come back to it later, it would be available to the first person who set their stuff down while you were gone.
hotel recommeded taxi drivers trying to charge guests 60$ to go 2 miles down the road!
45$ for 3 days of internet!
this trip was a rip-off and very irritating to me. i had already spent ****$ just to book this room and flights for 4 days, only to get screwed on having to pay for all this extra stuff during the trip. i will never, ever stay at this hotel again.

A few people of house keeping seemed to unable to speak/understand English, so that I could not get the servise which I wanted. It's the only minor issue I had.

Stayed over christmas and could not have been more pleased with the hotel and the overall experience. The staff was exceptional, attending to every need we had. The restaurants were great and the accomodations were more than I expected. Usually a very picky traveler - I was pleasantly suprised and pleased.
