Best Things Nearby:
The beautiful beach.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was across the street from the ocean.

Resort Experience:
This resort is awesome! It is across the street from the beach. Our unit had a king-size bed, full kitchen, balcony, and Jacuzzi. Our unit looked brand new! The staff was very helpful. We will return to Santa Barbara again in the future.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach is just across the street.

Best Things About the Resort:
We were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of our unit. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a game room that is fun when it rains. The pool is nice, often full though.

Resort Experience:
Overall, this was a great resort. The only reservations I would have about returning is that there is not a whole lot to do in Pompano proper. Ft. Lauderdale is just 15 minutes away and there are plenty of dive operations and places to eat there, but quality eats are tough to come by in Pompano.

The accommodations were wonderful and spacious. We had a one-bedroom unit that we could not believe how large and wonderful it was. Our 15-year-old had privacy at night by sleeping on the pullout in the living area, and we were close to our two and three-year-olds at night as they slept on the pull in the very large bedroom.

The resort itself was quiet and relaxing, and there were daily activities you could participate in if you wanted. We also had use of the Fairfield Royal Vista across the street.

This resort was far more busy, and we preferred ours. The staff here could not have been more helpful, they really knew the area and could answer any questions right away.

Although the resort is not directly on the beach, it sure is within walking distance. The Intercoastal Waterway is directly at the back of the resort. Enjoy a walk along the beach and pick up shells on the shore and take in the sounds of the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

Best Things About the Resort:

Resort Experience:
You will find Santa Barbara Resort & Yacht Club to be a relaxing resort. It’s located in Pompano Beach, which is about 15 miles away from Fort Lauderdale.

The suite we had was clean and comfortable. Our studio unit had a full kitchen (full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a coffee maker). The dining area had a small table with two chairs. In the entertainment area we found a TV, VCR, and a portable stereo. The king-sized bed was comfortable and off to the side was a nice Jacuzzi tub. The unit was also air conditioned. The maid service came once during the week to refresh towels.

The grounds were very simple. The beach is just across the street, and there are a few public access areas here to get to the beach (across the street from the resort are many other hotels and resorts which are directly on the beach). The pool area is small and quiet. No music played here and it was a relaxing spot to enjoy the sun. We found the heated pool to be much too hot – it wasn’t very refreshing at this temperature. There is also a hot tub just beside the pool.

Scheduled activities were few. However, they had some barbecues and shake-making events. A bartending class was something else I saw happening.

For the active folk, there aren’t many options directly on the resort. There was no excercise equipment on site, nor did there seem to be any planned sporting activities aside from morning beach walks and yoga.

Overall - we enjoyed our time at this resort and would recommend it. A resort directly on the beach, of course, would be better, but this one is within walking distance to make it is very acceptable.
