About forty miles from San Diego's Mission Bay, but only twenty miles from Oceanside Beach. Postitives :Oceanside was amazing, hotel is in a good location, pleanty of place to eat, target across the street. Hotel staff was very helpful, rooms were very clean and spacious for the price, parking was good. Extended our stay and recieved a good rate on the spot. Used our towels at the beach and had no trouble getting clean towels from staff in abundance.
Negatives: Non heated Pool, shower not consistantly hot or warm but rather rotated from hot and cold every two minutes, noisy guests upstairs dinking and partying untill 2am.
Good Hotel if the Breakfast doesn't matter

The hotel was easy to find of the road and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean, nice and well priced. The reason I will not go back was the breakfast was horrible. It was not stocked well and what they had was of poor quality. If breakfast doesn't matter it is a great choice - for me breakfast happens to be the number one thing I look forward to. They did have a fridge and microwave in the room which I don't see very often anymore and that was nice.

I would have left if not for 3 tired kids and having prepaid. There was black sludge in the sink, a serious plumbing/sewage problem, that I riinsed out but reappeared the next morning. Bedspreads were full of holes, linen was nubby. Carpets were loose and torn, water damage on the walls. Kitchen reeked (but the food looked good). Front Desk didn't even blink when I told them about the plumbing problem. Will NEVER stay there again - stay away! I cannot believe I paid what I did.

Our hotel was in Escondio, NOT France! we have stayed in this hotel several times before. It isconvienent to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, Southern California's wine country and our family. The room was upgraded to a king sized bed. The free breakfast is one of the best around and included fresh made waffles, cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, sweet rolls, bagels, fresh coffee, tea, milk and juice.
