World War II style sacrifices

Since I had traveled from the west coast, I felt like it was much earlier in the evening. Therefore I was up late on both nights in New York. Attempting to use the hot water before bed (1:00 a.m.), I noticed that the water was tepid. The first night I thought it must be an anomaly. The next night I was also up late and again when I turned on the hot water tap, I got tepid results. Is this a cost cutting measure? It was not announced, it was not expected and it was not fun. I felt ripped off.

Fabulous Location, Friendly Staff

My husband had stayed in NYC several times over the last few years but never stayed here. We weren't sure we'd be that impressed, but we were pleasantly surprised! We were staying in the city for one quick get-away evening (and to see a show) so we didn't want to spend $750 for just one night (the apparent going rate at many of the area hotels on this particular evening). We were very pleased with the location - you walk out the front door and if you go right to the end of the street (1 minute walk) you are basically right in Times Square and if you go left to the end of the street (again, about a 1 minute walk) you are just a couple blocks away from Radio City Music Hall & NBC Studios/Rockefeller Center. GREAT location! Friendly staff, good rate, nice continental breakfast (free) which includes juice/coffee/donuts/pastry/cereal/toast/bagels. Surely enough to get you going in the AM.

Okay for the money.

The room was small, but I guess that's typical for NYC. It was clean, and had a very good continental breakfast, and the bed was comfortable, those are the important things to us! The location was great, close to Times Square and the subway. I would stay their again.

Value! Value!

This was our first trip to NY city. Service, room, breakfast were good. Location is Outstanding!! Close to ABC studio..get your face on TV during Good Morning Am.! And be sure to eat at Sullivan's Chinese right across street. Great! Cheap! esp. lunch. Locals eat there - very classy interior! What a surprise! We ate lunch there everyday...cheaper than McDonald's! I (female) felt safe by myself going to GMA in a.m. while hubby slept! Gotta try this place..use your money to sightsee..not sleep!Returning there this year. So don't get my room!! Ha!
