Registration staff extremely helpful/friendly; fast check-in; no long wait like at huge strip hotels. Had read other reviews about Nugget's overly golden lobby; but I really loved it. It felt like registering at more upscale hotel - all the luxe of huge/expensive strip hotels - but warmer, more personable, smaller. Spa experience was great value - upscale service/quality at reasonable prices. Purchased spa treatments, and got use of killer jacuzzi and fitness/spa facility for entire day - bonus. Wonderful aromatherapy products, great tropical body scrub/massage w/coconut oils, fantastic mani/pedi, meticulous special event hairstyle. Facility was super clean; service was superb.
Stayed in South Tower; room was very good - King bed w/comfy pillow top mattress and fresh linens. On 17th floor, we could see a lot of the city and how far it is from So Tower to casino. Big closet w/fresh and comfy bathrobes, many hangars, safe. Closet made good use of its doors as big mirrors. Reading lamps by bed were useful and housekeeping quickly replaced burned-out bulb. Good size make-up vanity w/light-up mirror for close-ups. A/C worked well entire time and really cooled room all the way to the bathroom - a blessing in the desert. Only cleaniless issue - bathroom door very sticky on both sides. They should really scrub those down more often. Otherwise, housekeeping kept room/bath immaculate. Room service every morning was fabulous except for 1 morning when someone other than regular staffer answered and couldn't communicate well because her English wasn't good.
Pool manager and guard staff were SUPER friendly and helpful; very solicitous and on-top of everything. Casino lets you have the luxe experience of larger upscale strip hotels; but for a lot less money. They treat all hotel guests like rich VIPs; great casino staff. Will definitely return to this gem.

The hotel was convienient to activities on Freemont Street. It was easily accessed for parking and well maintained. Only the shower handle leaked (dripped). Internet access free to hotel guests would be appreciated. Use of the computers on the first floor adjacent to the elevators was convenient, however, $1.00 for a printed sheet and a fast time clock on Internet access seemed high. $6.25 for 2 airlines boarding passes and about 2 minutes to check e-mail seemed excessive. All in all, a great hotel. I will be back next year.

The Nugget was great, no complaints at all. Good service, comfy beds, clean rooms and great price. We loved being by the Fremont experience, lots of action every night. The pool and shark tank are awesome, water slide is fun too. We would never hesitate to stay here again, completely satisfied. The Nugget exceeded our expectations. The Nugget was much better than some of the less expensive hotels we've stayed at in the past, on other vacations. We didn't mind not being on the strip at all. Thanks Golden Nugget for a great stay for our first visit to Vegas.
