It was wonderful to end the Spring vacation on a positive note. My wife and I spent three days at the Golden Nugget and enjoyed everything we could in a short period of time. We LOVE the Nugget and it was nice to see the prices come down.

We enjoyed our stay at the Golden Nugget. The rooms were very nice and the staff friendly. The pool was nice, except the lounge chairs were packed very close together which spoiled the atmosphere of the area. There is a lot to be said for staying downtown. We got lots of bargains on Fremont street which I'm sure were not available on the strip. We saved a lot by travelling on the bus, and got senior discount cards at the central bus station. The bus was crowded and not that comfortable, so we did resort to cabs some of the time.

Optimize your Downtown Golden Nugget Stay

Golden Nugget is a great casino; friendly staff, clean rooms, good downtown location, fun swimming pool (check dates for when pool is open), ok restaurants and the best value for a downtown Las Vegas vacation. You need to rent a car (super cheap), so you can avoid the packed bus, and cab costs. All casinos have free parking, tips not included. If you decide to skip the rental car, the main bus terminal is only two blocks away from GN, which runs 24x7, and if you avoid rush hours only a 15 minute ride from downtown to the strip (and visa versa). Traveling to the strip is a must, especially if you stay at the best casino in Downtown Las Vegas - Golden Nugget!

Everything was Great !!

The Hotel was beautiful. Everything was great. Our rooms were located at the opposite ends of the elevators, which led us to quite a bit of walking each day. The restaurants at the hotel were excellent. We ate at the Grotto, An italian fair, with an excellent dessert. We also ate at the Steak House, called Anthony's. It was on the pricy side, but was well worth it. The Steaks were so tender you could cut them with a butter knife. The pool was well maintained. The Hotel was clean & the Staff was extremely friendly. Would go back to the Golden Nugget any time !!!

We were surprised to receive an upgraded room, a suite. The room is huge and clean. Finding the parking valet was a bit tricky on Vegas streets; but, overall we were very satisfied with our one night stay.
