Golden Nugget is the place to stay. Alot better than the strip. Staff very nice and helpful. Rooms just fine and clean. Will not ever stay on the strip again. Food great, casino fun, pool very good. Be sure to get a cabana. Dealers very nice. Rita, Irma and Lucy thank you!! Felt safe at all times. Fremont St. very nice. Just a very good value for the money. Actually won at blackjack enough to pay for trip and expenses.

the golden nugget may be an old timer, but you would never know it. very clean and well kept.i saved alot of money staying down town.the golden makes you feel like your on the strip without the crowds.fremont street is a tamed version of the strip.great if wall to wall people are not your thing.

Its location is just next to Fremont Street. Compare to other hotels around that area, this is the nicest one. I found the room very comfy and clean. Although the check in process was kind of slow, it's worth staying.

This was the best hotel we found in most of Vegas. It was not quite as glitzy as the Bellagio or Cesars, but if you want clean honest fun and a little peace and quiet in your room, the Golden Nugget is the place to be. The staff are really friendly, the room was perfectly clean and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in at a hotel in a long time. Just what you need after a long day and night on the strip. But if you don't want to go that far Freemont street is right outside the door, it has shows and stuff going all the time. We would definately stay here again. The food was great, the staff very friendly and access to the store and some restaurants 24 hours a day. Thank you Golden Nugget for a great stay!!!!!!

This was a good place to stay if you dont mind staff being not friendly. From check in it was obvious that the staff was not required to be at all friendly. Very business like and not much smiling from any of them. Staff in casino were pretty much doing their job but not much customer relations. Probably would stay there again because of the location and it being the nicest hotel in the Fremont area. Found casinos around them more friendly.
