Redding Retreat

The Ramada Limited in Redding is a nice place to stay. The hotel is located on the north side of Redding and it is easily accessed by the freeway. The hotel was modern and the room was really nice and comfortable. The negatives of the hotel had to deal with the parking lot, it seemed really limited because most of the spaces were taken by moving trucks. The other negative has to deal with the one entrance and exit from the hotel. It just seemed limiting. My last negative had to be the breakfast served. It seemed that they person running the check-in desk was also running the breakfast area. When there were people checking into the hotel, the breakfast area seemed not well kept up. My last concern had to do with the towels, it appeared that the hotel ran out of towels during my stay. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.

The room was clean and seemed updated. The shower was clean and new. The beds were fine. They had a simple, free breakfast in the lobby. My children liked the indoor pool.

Room was nice, clean & fairly spacious. No restaurants close by. Front desk staff was cordial at best. Advertised "Big breakfast"- kind of a stretch. For the money it was o.k but I probably wouldn't stay there again.
Basics Were Covered

We stayed at the Ramada on our way to and back from the Bay Area. Location is convenient to the freeway, but not to dining, shopping, etc. We asked about local dining, explaining that my wife was dieting, so we were looking for variety. We were referred to a nearby eatery, 'Fat Boy's'. Should have known by the name, but low-fat options were minimal. Our recommendation would be to travel down the freeway a couple more miles for dining alternatives.
For our first stay, the bed was comfortable, and basic amenities were covered.
Overall good value.

This is a nice, clean hotel with nice staff. I feel safe with only one entrance and appreciate the elevators and bell cart for getting to rooms. I stay here every few months on business trips.
