Poor housekeeping, worse "customer service". Stay somewhere else.

Our family of 3 stayed in a suite in June 2009. We tried calling the hotel early in the evening of our arrival, to notify them that we wouldn't arrive until after 10PMM. Nobody answered the phone. When we arrived, we found leftover coffee (from a day ago or a week ago, who knows?) in the coffeepot. When we returned to our room after being out all day, we noticed that the full garbage cans had not been emptied. For $* / night, we expect better service.
After our first night, I called customer service to complain about a billing problem (too lengthy to get into here). The "customer service" line put us on hold for over 16 minutes before answering. That customer service ret wouldn't or couldn't help us, and claimed that there were no supervisors working that night, so we called back a second time. That rep, who didn't provide her name, hung up after listening to our complaint.
There are a dozen or more hotels located w/in a mile of this one -stay at one of them.

After struggling to find another low cost hotel near the airport, I decided to try this hotel again. Even though in my last review, I stated I would never stay here again. For the most part, we just needed a hotel for a few hours again. Just enough for a few hours of sleep and a quick shower. I will say that this time the cleanliness of the room was must better. While the bed were still hard, the noise level was minimal this time. Allowing me to actually fall asleep.
Remember, you get what you pay for. So if you are looking for a low cost hotel near the airport, this one will do.

While I have stayed at value hotels before, I don't think I was prepared for the few hours my daughter & I spent at the La Quinta in Burlington. First, I should mention that I was planning on using their park and ride service to the airport but because I booked my stay through a third party (i.e online travel website) I was not eligible for this service. Something the site does not warn you of.
The most disappointing thing about the room was the cleanliness of it. My 3 year old daughter fell right to sleep as soon as we arrived, so I didn't have much time for inspection but I found that the bathroom was not even remotely clean. Because we were only going to be there for a few hours, I thought I would just get some sleep but when I got into the bed, I found it as hard as concrete. It was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. And to make matters worse by 4:30 am I could hear every movement of hotel through the paper thin walls.
We could not get out of this hotel fast enough.

The front desk was friendly. The breakfast was good and convenient. The rooms were clean, however they were small and the beds a bit uncomfortable.
Enjoyable stay

We stayed here for a few days to check out several colleges in the area. We had a micro and fridge in our room, with King bed and a pull out sofa. Room was EXTREMELY clean and roomy. Pull out was a bit stiff but they typically are. Bathrooms were spotless! Micro/fridge came in handy as we travel with a child with special dietary needs so we brought food with us..Staff was very accomodating. Extar towels were not a problem byt we did have to go get them rather then have them delivered to the room. One thing I did not like was access from the outside. The front desk was always very very busy due to tour buses staying there. Anyone could walk in from the outside and take the elevator upstairs to the hallways at any time. Room cleanigns started at 7am which was not a problem for us but may be for others. It got noisy pretty early. The continental breakfast was amazing!!! You could make your own waffles and they had fruit and a large variety of cereals and juices. The 1 staff member was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people eating so maybe more help to the person cleaning and restocking the breakfast would be a good idea. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay and the location was fabulous!!
