My husband and I had the most wonderful week at The Biltmore Four Seasons. We were there with a group of about 300. Our room was perfect, the service just right and the bike path was out of this world.

Perfection is the first word that comes to mind when I think about the Biltmore Four Season's Hotel in Santa Barbara. The moment you approach the driveway you enter another world of luxury and top service.

The hotel is the historic Biltmore Hotel from the 1920s. It sits across the street from the Pacfic Ocean and is a village of white washed stucco buildings with colorful buganvilla draping down the sides. It feels like a quaint village somwhere in the Meditrean.

Four Season's took over the hotel some years ago and upgraded the amenties to it's high standards. When you enter the lobby, there are fresh orchids, soft music, cushy furntiure and views of the ocean. The hotel has a high ratio of employess to guests.

The hotel has two pools, one is a more active, smaller pool with food service and active bar, the other is across the street and is a more serious pool in the waterfront casino. The hotel also has putting greens, croquet lawn, spa and serious workout room.

There are a variety of room options here. The standard rooms start at $600. However, the more deluxe rooms with fireplaces go for $750 per night, and the cottages go for even more. The hotel seldom has available rooms, espcially on the weekends--even at those rates!

This is the perfect venue to have your wedding, broad lawns, secret courtyards and a setting a photographer fall in love with.

The hotel is family and pet-friendly. They have a great kids' program and a parents' night out program, where kids eat and watch a movie with other "kid" guests. They even offer kid sized bathrobes in the room!

The Biltmore is pure luxury and pure perfection. The hotel makes you feel like you just want to stay and never leave--it doesn't get much better than this!

As you might be able to tell, the present Four Seasons Biltmore has an illustrious hotel history stretching back into the 1920's. Today it retains all the highlights and fine points of most of its original structure and charm, together with all the requisite modern updates in services, standards of comfort and design and technologies expected by the business or leisure traveler. Set on 19 acres of lush grounds, with two swimming pools, tennis and fine dining along with its spectacular ocean view, the Biltmore (as it's still referred to fondly by locals) is a getaway in itself for many Californians heading in from points south and north. Room amenities and services in each casita or luxury suite include: multilingual concierge staff, 24-hour in-room dining, twice-daily housekeeping service, terry cloth bathrobes, complimentary newspapers, VCR, private minibar, hair dryer, room safe, high speed internet access. Public areas include four restaurants and two lounges for oceanside dining, plus a world-class, newly constructed fitness center and spa.
