Mayfair Hotel is strategically located at the west of 7th Street, 10 minutes walk to the financial district of Los Angeles. At a moderate price, the location and conveniency of the hotel is a winning point.
There is a Dash Bus stand right opposite of the hotel which brings you to the nearby financial district, which you can connenct to Metro Red Line underground train. Or, simply hop on a Dash bus for only 25 cents to Little Tokyo, China Townm Jewelry District, Garment District or even Union Station, the gateway for many transportation.
Putting the strategic location aside, the hotel offers quite a number of cafes and restaurants nearby, with a laundry mart and a few convenient stores nearby. Whatelse can we ask for when the most important factors are being conveniently located nearby?
As for the hotel itself, it's built during the heyday of the Roaring Twenties. The newly renovated Mayfair Hotel today still remain some of the brass fixtures and friezed pillars that adorn the lobby atrium.
Each room offers a special view of Los Angeles while my room is facing the LAX Convention Center. At night it offers a great night scene of the brimming city! Clean and comfortable room with 2 twin beds, the room also have a built in wardrobe, a writing desk, TV, coffee maker and a clean bathroom.
FREE internet service is available at the lobby. Although the connection is a bit slow, it comes handy for searching information at no cost!
I am generally satisfied with Mayfair Hotel, which I have stayed for 7 nights in total!
Friendly staffs at the lobby provides very helpful information on tours and packages, airport transfer as well as direction to certain places.
