Smelly

Our room was in the annex building. The hallways smelled like urine. The room seemed clean, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure in tyhe shower was great. The ice bucket was wet and discolored inside. It was gross. The location was great. Location is the only thing that justified the price.

Great stay, great value, great location!

My stay at the Best Western River North was purely business related, due to that my flight arrived around 10 a.m. and the staff allowed me to check in early, what a PERK! The hotel is very close to all of the great amenities that Chicago has to offer. Nice restaurant adjacent to the hotel offers free breakfast (choice of four selections gratuity not included), another added perk. The hotel is directly across the street from the Rainforest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, around the corner from Blue Chicago, and a mere 5 minute walk from Michigan Avenue and all the shopping one can handle. Its a bit farther to the Navy Pier, but we walked it in about 10-15 minutes tops. A great vlaue for the business traveler, and free parking. I found the hotel to be extremely clean upon arrival, the lobby area was nice and very comfortable, staff was friendly and eager to please. My room was on the 6th floor, clean, comfortable, bed was awesome. Shower is a bit tricky, have to pull out on the nozzle to get water flowing, took some tugging on. Because the hotel is downtown you cannot expect 100% peace and quiet, but I found that with the fan running it was more than enough background noise to filter out the traffic outside no problem. Will definitely stay again next time down there.

Great family stay in Chi-Town

This hotel was great for our family for a great price, free parking and even greater central location. You can walk to alot of the main attractions and great places to eat and party in Chicago. I would stay here again. We didn't spend alot of time in the room as there is far too much to see and do in this town.

Great

After having stayed at the Best Western River North many times before, this last trip was truly amazing. We checked in warly and since our room was not ready, we were upgraded by the friendly staff. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite with every amenity. Simply fantastic. Don't forget to check out the pool either.

Odd...?

We were on the second floor; it was never explained to us how to get to the pool so we had to walk through the parking lot to get there and back. No continental breakfast and the restaurant was mediocre. The curtains didn't close so it was super bright in the morning (and they were ugly). Nice big bed, clean, free parking was nice, cool bathroom, good service. It was all right.
