Interesting Place

While the room itself was very nice for a family with a Master Suite, 2nd room with full bath, and a sleeper sofa, there was not enough room on the terrace to for all but 2. The Master has a jaccuzzi tub, which was wonderful. However, our nights were a bit miserable. We could not get the thermostat to lower below 78, the auto ice maker didn't work, and there was a missing fry pan. The advertised pool at the Main building which goes under a covered area was there but the bar had been moved all the way over to the other pool area where the restaurant was located... quite a hick from our room either way. Being sensitive to the sun, I had had dreams of a great retreat by the covered pool with my drink... which was not to be! Big disappointment!! They did bring me a frypan that night but had not fixed the thermostat when we returned the next afternoon. However, a phonecall later their friendly maintenance guy appeared and reset it for us so we slept in coolness that night. The icemaker was busted... so he brought us a bag of ice. I was surprised to find a stacking washer/dryer in the large pantry, Publix Grocery store and Walgreens drug store a few blocks west. Some very nice restaurants just a few blocks west of there and on the other side of I-4! Sea World is just a few blocks East, Disney a few miles West and North of i-4, Shopping outlets at both ends of Interneational Drive. It would have been a great place... had not some party revelers kept passing back and froth by the front bedroom window during the night.

The location was perfect and the rooms were very clean. Security was good and service desk people were terrific. The pool was beautiful with plenty of seating. This is a wonderful spot for family vacation. The kiddie pool is great and the water slides were wonderful. However, the beds were terrible. The mattresses were terribly uncomfortable and should be addressed. I did not feel rested after a night's sleep.

We bought into the blue green company

and we dont regret it. The fountains is a great resort that is in close proximity to all the family attractions of Orlando. The suites are comfortable and the kitchens are convenient. I would recommend the blue green organization to anyone. I did notice that the security was kind of lax though. Anyone could drive by the guard shack without any trouble and I didnt see security patrolling the parking lots at night enough.

We stayed at The Fountains which is a Blue Green Vacation Club property. It was OK. Not as high-end as we expected but still nice. The clientèle were a bit lower class than we expected too. The property did have decent furnishings and the appliances were good. The pool area was small but clean. The property was going through major renovations (new buildings being built, new pool area being built). The construction did not interfere with our stay at all. If you are looking for a mid-range condo to stay at in Orlando I would somewhat recommend this facility.
