Cheap, but pay the extra to stay downtown

We booked this hotel because it was cheap. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathrooms have stains everywhere. When we asked why our room felt like a hundred degrees we were told to open our window because the air conditioning wasn't being turned on. Oh, and don't ask for extra towels, what an inconvenience. If you like to sleep on the ground, this is the hotel for you. The beds are as hard as a rock. If you like to be treated horribly and like camping atmospheres, then this is the hotel for you. I personally would never waste my money at this place again.

Good location and very reasonable rates through online travel website.

I booked this hotel for a week long family vacation. I chose it because it was close to family in the Boston area and had good reviews on online travel website. It is certainly nothing fancy, but when staying a week fancy was not an option. The room was decent with a good view of the Charles River. The bed was comfortable and the room was relatively quiet (as quiet as you can get in a large city). The hot water was always hot and you did not have to wait long for it to arrive at the tap (unlike some places I have stayed). They have free WiFi which I found to be a bit slow, but the signal was reliable and did not drop out. If there was any negative about the room/hotel, it would be that the bathroom was inadequately ventilated. A hot shower would leave the entire room very humid. However, this would not prevent me from staying there again. One other feature worth mentioning is the Joyful Garden restaurant located in the hotel. In my opinion, the Joyful Garden produced the best tasting Chinese food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I only have mediocre mid-western restaurants to base this on, so take it with a grain of salt (or MSG!) After eating there I asked my Boston-based relatives about the place and they were familiar with it saying, "Chinese-Americans looking for good Chinese food go there." That solidified my experience. What is even better is that they will deliver to your hotel room at no extra charge. Overall I give the Days Hotel Boston a 4 out of 5.

The Days Hotel in Boston is okay, but why not try other discounted hotels with more ammenities? I like the Best Western Terrace Inn, located at 1650 Commonwealth Avenue.

Simple Hotel, decent room Although, the walk to it was a bit unusual, room was in the back building (guessing extension) we walked down the hallway around the pool thru a door to the parking garage where a door took us to an elevator & then our room! A bit weird! I would use the hotel again becuse of the price!

Older Hotel but Felt Safe since traveling alone

Clean and Safe but a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. Beds are old. Bathroom smaller than small. Room right across from noisy elevator. 1st night heard conversations. 2nd night heard snoring. Front Desk nice. Area more senic than previous review says. Had view of Charles River and the Cherry Blossoms were in Bloom. Room must be on front side for that. Grocery Store and McDonalds on the back side. Roller Skating Rink next door. Will only return if my budget says so.
