Room was nice and clean but walls were paper thin and you could hear all the noses outside even at night.

Ideal Location

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is central to everything in the city. The Sheraton recently completed a renovation of some of its public spaces such as the lobby. It's better than your typical Sheraton in service and amenities. The rooms have the new Sheraton heavenly bedding which makes for a very comfortable sleep. Bathroom is on the small side but toiletries were upgraded from the basics you'll find elsewhere. Hotel has 12 elevators so wait times are not an issue. They do have a gym (no fee) with a indoor/outdoor pool, sauna and whirlpool. Expect lots of families with lots of kids. the gym is well equipped and they provide complimentary towel service, spring water and fresh fruit (apples) which is a nice touch. If you want or need internet the hotel has a 24hr media hall next to the lobby where you have 6 computer terminals with free internet along with a printer. There is also a large flat screen TV with lots of seating space and reading material. The hotel is across the street from Toronto City Hall and just down the street from the main shopping mall The Eaton Centre. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance including the theater, financial and entertainment districts. In fact the hotel is part of The PATH underground which connects the entire downtown via the underground. It has thousands of shops and services. It's perfect if the weather is poor outside as you can walk all the way to The Eaton Centre and CN Tower without ever stepping outside!

Go for the Pool

This is actually the second time I've now stayed at the Toronto Sheraton, and the second time I've enjoyed my visit. It's nothing too fancy, but the location is quite good and it has a never nice indoor-outdoor swimming pool that's long enough to swim laps and is frequently uncrowded.

Enjoyable Once Again

This return visit certainly did not disappoint. The location is great for access to public transit. As usual, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very nice with enough space, and the bed was GREAT! If I were to nit pick, the doors between rooms allowed a fair bit of noise to filter through. Also, an inside curtain rod detached, but the front desk made note and was attentive. In fact, on more than on occasion staff went above and beyond to respond to my needs. Concierge was always helpful.

Overall, the hotel and its staff are quite nice. It is very handy to downtown Toronto and the underground shopping the Path (this is especially handy in cold temperatures). The room was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. We actually chose the Sheraton for the Sweet Sleeper beds. We find them quite comfortable. The room was quiet. The only drawback was the duvet. We didn't notice until the next morning that there were body fluid stains on the duvet cover. The management was nice about it and gave us extra points but they could've discounted the room a little. We would still stay there again. Lastly, be advised that Toronto has institued a Dedicated Marketing Fee of $6.95 a night that most places don't advertise.
