It is far enough away from the French Quarter for a quiet nights sleep but close enough to walk to and from all the fun New Orleans offers.

I've been told the basic rooms at The Roosevelt are smaller than most hotels. But with that in mind this hotel is exceptional.

The hotel was beautiful and the bed so comfortable, but offering free internet access in the room for a 5 star hotel would have been a benefit. Great location a block from Bourbon St.
