The Blue Horizon is right in the middle of Robson street a very nice location w/tons of shops and restaurants. The room was very large it had two queen beds, desk, fridge, table and chairs, and a balcony. The bed and the bed linens were very nice and comfy. The hotel is not brand new so the fixtures are a bit older, but the room was clean and neat. The hotel staff was also courteous and hospitable. We were waiting on a cruise departure at 4pm and the hotel will hold your luggage while you shop around town after check out at 11am - nice. We love Japanese food and Robson street is full of them. There is one across the street that is cheap and delicious. There is a London pharmacy a few doors down w/toiletries and quick snacks and drinks. The convenience of being in the center of Robson is also where the con of the hotel is-noise level. If you're a town mouse try a room away from the street. Overall, I enjoyed my stay: I felt it was safe and secure, a value for my money, and convenient. I would stay again.

We stayed one night after an Alaskan cruise. Booked 2 rooms for 7 people (ages 2 - 81!). Rooms were large and clean and we were able to get early check-in, so that was great. Free foreign currency exchange was 1/2 block away as was a drug store. Loads of restaurants nearby and the bus stop is next to the hotel. Very convenient. We asked concierge twice for a restaurant suggestion and were directed to one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to for lunch, as well as a very nice, but "kid friendly" restaurant for dinner. All easy to access by walking. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many, many times. Every room has a view. For my last stay, I was on the top floor with the best view of the bay. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. You step out on the street, and you are within seconds of everything!

I stayed here four nights in a very large, clean comfortable room surrounded by restaurants and nightclubs and shopping and fun. Parking was easy in the adjacent parking garage. Only one minor issue--I did not get the message left by my son for me to receive at check in.
My next trip to Vancouver, I will stay here.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. it exceeded our expectations. yes, the elevators were slow but I was on vacation and slowing down was a good thing.
We requested a west side room, were accommodated and recommended by staff that we be in room for the sunset around 8pm. it was spectacular, overlooking the English Bay. very large corner room with balcony. clean and comfortable. the bed was like sleeping in hugs.
This hotel is in a major high fashion shopping district, lots of interesting store fronts and people to see. if you like shopping this is the spot but also in walking distance of everything we wanted to do. we rented bikes a few blocks down from the hotel and spent a day in Stanley Park riding along the seawall and taking in the beautiful views and weather.
The price is very reasonable compared to other area hotels with higher prices and lower reviews. On our last day there we checked out at 11am but the staff stored our luggage while we visited the city all day prior to our night time flight.
Great Hotel. I am pleased and looking forward to visiting again.
