I spent alot of time on line researching the different hotels. From the photos I thought this hotel was different and exciting. It was our daughters sweet sixteen BD and thought she would like it. Well, the hotel is about thirty yrs old the only thing they did redo was the beds and they were very uncomfortable. The lobby looked great...but it was down hill from there! We were so dissappointed that this hotel even had the name "Sheraton" attached to it. Our bathroom floor had black grout...that never was (dirt)....we had dog flees in our room....I hope they were flees!....dont be fooled....we were....the bar was outrageous we went down to have a drink hoping things would look better and that bill was $*...very expensive and totally not worth it!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite Orlando hotel

The staff (and I mean EVERYONE) was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Location is central to everything. This was a weekend getaway for my wife and I. Everything was perfect. We had room #3618 facing West (no morning sun blinding us). Steak and eggs for breakfast (delivered by room service in 30 minutes or it's free) on the balcony overlooking the pool. Great food, excellent service, and pleasant atmosphere for dining. I've stayed in several places in Orlando, and this is by far the best on a working mans budget.
Beware! Not the usual Sheraton Standard!

VERY disapointed. Read the reviews thought I'd give it a try. First impression good but down hill from there. Am an SPG member so expected a better than average room. This is an old hotel that has had an upgrade that needs another upgrade! Staff were okay. Rooms were Okay but the beds SO uncomfortable, the pillows awful. DO NOT eat at the restaurant! Service VERY slow and food nothing better than a warehouse club. Menu implies better, do not be fooled. Also, room service was terrible. Ordered PB&J for 2 children, menu adivsed "something special", I guess it was the dried bread and dollop of jelly that was special?!? Used the complimentary bus service to the parks. Yes it's free but takes a tour of all surrounding hotels, you will stand if there isn't a seat! Drops you at the Transportation center at Disney, not direct at park so allow time to get back there for the bus back to hotel. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! Better value elsware. Not the usual Sheraton standard.

We had a very difficult start of our trip: getting out of our airport and then getting seated on the plane. More troubles came with getting our luggage off of the plane and then finally getting a vehicle when none were to be had! We finally got to Sheraton Safari Hotel and my husband and 3 children and I were welcomed late at night with a friendly face. We did find out later that the front desk manager was formally from NJ and he was very quick to get us an upgraded room. Even though the sleeping was difficult in just 2 queen beds, the room was beautifully decorated and clean. It did work and in the morning, the kids went to the pool until it was time to check out. Then didn't want to leave! Unfortunately, our condo was waiting so we needed to, but if that wasn't the case, we would have easily extended our stay at this hotel !
Good first impression, but don't be fooled!

This is our second stay within six months. The hotel offers a good first impression in the reception area and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are rather outdated and the beds very uncomfortable. They rooms appear okay at first, but quickly have a sense of uncleanliness. The first stay we were on the pool side, but this time on the front of the hotel. The buses were so loud in the morning taking perople to the parks it was very hard to sleep. And, when we tried to eat around 3:00 p.m., the only option was the bar outside by the pool.
We will not stay at this Sheraton again.
