I would most definitley stay at the Mavrick Motel again. I was greeted by a very friendly lady with a warm smile. She was most helpful in giving me directions to the locations I needed to go. The room was spacious and very clean. The price was the best I could find (well below most) and it was a wonderful place to stay.
Bang for your buck!

Great hotel...we loved it...
Only one suggestion if you plan on staying at the Maverick Motel...bring your own pillows...they give you pillows, but they are rather flat from our experience.
Also, the internet is wireless and not everyone can access it, although management told me they plan to install repeaters to fix this issue this summer.
The breakfast is minimal...orange & apple juice, coffee, oatmeal, and pastries that are very sugar coated (and I wouldn't recommend them either).
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent

This hotel is best value. We stay there for one night. The bed is very comfortable.
We found in terms of room cleaness and confort...it is at least 3.5 star level but we just use 1.5 star money to buy...we highly recommend.
Trip to Crater Lake National Park

When making the arrangements for our excersion to Crater Lake, we were not able to find a place close to Crater Lake due to an annual horse event in the area. After checking around, we found Maverick Motel. We stayed 2 nights and it was a pleasant experience - the place was clean, easy to find, very comfortable and very helpful staff. Next door, there is a bar/restaurant "The Creamery" which had excellent food and very friendly staff. There is also an outdoor patio with live entertainment. My only problem was the "next-door" aspect with live entertainment. I don't know how often that occurs, but I did have some trouble getting to sleep with the music - although I think it stopped around 10 pm (I was exhausted and trying to get some sleep prior to the Crater Lake day). Maverick Motel is nothing fancy but I would stay there again if in the area.

The outside of the motel doesn't look like much, so we were delighted to find the rooms to be clean and very well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The room was small, but not uncomfortably so. The staff were helpful. It exceeded our expectations for a motel in this price range. The location was good for exploring the downtown.
We would stay here again.
