Terrible!

We booked reservations for two nights at this hotel. I could have sworn we read good reviews on it somewhere. Anyway, the room smelled bad, beds were hard and we all got up in the morning with backaches, ther e was a dirty towel left on the back of the bathroom door and one of the lights was burned out. We checked out a day early and into a better place for our second night. Don't waste your money here!
Better than Camping

After 5 days of camping in RMNP I wanted to ensure I got a good night sleep before driving back home. The room was clean and quiet which is what I wanted. The Travelodge Bear decor bordered on disturbing but did not keep me awake. The coin operated laundry was a great plus after camping 5 days. The pool was heated allowing the kids to swim at 8:00 at night (although the lighting around the pool could have been improved). Overall, the motel was pricey (given the few amenities) but got the important things (quiet and clean) right.

While the cleanable parts (e.g. bathroom, sink) were clean, the room smelled musty. We attribute it to the rug. Adequate for the one-night we stayed but I regret not spending more and going elsewhere.

The Travel Lodge is a good hotel for a cheap stay in Estes Park. The service was welcoming but it is a basic hotel. Everything was clean, easy parking allows good access to rooms.
