Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice place to stay

Stopped over for a night on the way to Chicago, rooms were very clean and comfortable, staff was pleasant, breakfast was convenient complete with coffee, juices, fruit, cereal and pastries. Noticed an outdoor pool and miniature golf course right on the property which were of course closed for the winter, so we plan on returning in the summer with the kids...all in all a good stay, especially for the price.

Nice Hotel

I thought twice about staying here from all the reviews but i'm glad i did. I had a big clean room and didn't have any problems while i was there. I was in Columbus for the hot rod show and the hotels was only 5 minutes from the fairgrounds.

You get what you pay for.

The room was okay for the cheap price. There was no elevator. Reminded me of hourly motels that you would avoid if you knew about them. However, we were tired when we got back that night and it was a place to lay your head. Not planning on revisiting this location again.

Worst hotel experience. Ever.

When I called to reserve the room, I was quoted a one-time pet fee, but was charged per pet when we checked in. (It was almost midnight when we arrived, after driving 16 hours, and we were too tired to protest.) We noticed quite a few cigarette butts and bits of garbage in the hallways. The room was filthy - hair clippings in the sink, half-full can of beer in the fridge, used washcloth in the shower. The only vending area was near the lobby, where two machines were out of order, and the third had juice and soda, but no water. The employee at the check-in desk was asleep, and thus no help, so we went to the BP across the street for water. Judging by the drive-up bank teller service at the convenience store, it became apparent that we were in a rather dangerous neighborhood. We hurried back to the hotel and considered using the laundry facility, but decided against it after seeing dirty towlels, jeans, shoes, and other articles strewn about the place. Finally we conceded defeat and decided to go to bed. We slept on top of the bed without disturbing the covers, assuming it was as dirty as the rest of the place.

Do not stay here!

This place advertised a "country bar". Far from it. It was a night club with a bunch of thugs w/ bandannas in it and it was connected to our hotel. they had a rap contest going on mid day and the people above us partied and jumped around until 6 am. There were unexplainable things on the walls and we found beer caps behind the wall and some brown stuff smeared on the doors. The bathroom was small and disgusting I was afraid to let my kids shower in it. No pot under the coffee machine. The breakfast was a joke. It was not a safe place to stay at all with a sign on the door saying don't leave valuables in your car and a standard safe in every room. The AC didn't work and we never saw a game room. We were scheduled for 2 nights but no refund or not....we left after the first night. There was no way I could lay my head down on that bed for another minute. We slept on top of the covers in fear of what could be under them. Do not take your kids to this place or anyone else for that matter. This site should really be updated on the type of place this really is.
