Wonderful staff...wonderful location...wonderful room...pool was being repaired but they were apologetic,m and had access to one two blocks away. Location two blocks from Temple Square...

Very nice rooms and a terriffic staff. I have just finished booking another night for this coming week. I hope the pool will get finished this summer, it looks like it will be a nice one. While we are traveling to the Doctor in SLC, we will be staying. Thanks and God Bless!
Good for the price

While not a luxury hotel, it is clean, relatively quiet, and has friently helpful staff. The free breakfast is adequate. There is a computer with printer in the lobby so that boarding passes can be printed out before heading to the airport, which is only about 15-20 minutes away. Hotel is a short walk to the convention center.

Perhaps the most significant detail of the stay is that I cannot recall any reason to complain. When everything works, the staff are helpful, and most needs met, it is not the hotel one remembers, but the other events of the trip. I would stay here again.

Based on other reviews I had read, I was prepared for the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Howard Johnson provided friendly service with comfortable rooms. It is by no means a five star place, but you get what you pay for. It's not fancy, but functional and provided 3 good nights of rest. The bathroom was a little small and had no place to hang towels, but other than that it was clean and had a decent breakfast each morning (which I enjoyed). I would recommend this to others if they're looking for something simple, reasonablly priced, with good service.
