Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean but bathroom smelled of sewer gas as did the lobby restroom. Did not report this since seemed to be a problem throughout the hotel. Remodeled section seemed to be the first 2 floors which was nicer than 3rd and 4th floors.
Need some upgrade

I found the hotel a little bit old. The halls, access to the rooms and bedrooms had old carpets that didn't have a pleasant smell. My bedroom had rusty fixtures in the bedroom. The breakfast had the same options every day. I would suggest to vary some days of the week. The staff in the front desk was very helpful on suggesting places to go out for dinner. Other than that, the hotel was fine. It was okay for the inexpensive price that you pay.
Would not recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff was friendly, and accommodated an early check-in for us, but when we got to our room, there was an unpleasant ordor, the beds felt hard and cheep, the carpet was torn away a couple of inches just inside the doorway and the room as a whole felt old and not well maintained. Also, the pool was so cold you could barely stand to be in it even though it was pretty hot out. We stayed the first night but switched hotels for the remainder of our trip.

It seemed that they started to remodel the hotel and just stopped half way through. The fitness room was in a guest room with two treadmills and one bike, of which two machines did not work. The game room had one game and it shared space with the laundry room. The carpet was well worn and needed to be replaced, and the whole building needed to be painted.

Don't know who thought that this place was anywhere above a 2 out of 5 stars, but believe me its true. Located in a not so nice anymore part of town, was very unimpressed with everything. I heard rumors that some rooms had been newly updated, but those apparently were not available with the online package. Do yourself a big favor, and find any place on the west side of town -
