No Parking as advertised

Hotel was fine. The hotel advertised parking which was incorrect. There are 25 parking spaces for 291 rooms. All parking garages in the area close at 8:00 PM. Parking is on the street only, if you can find it. After travelking all day, searching for street parking at night was not what I wanted. Hotel has no business advertising parking when none is avalialble. I could NOT even Valet park my car at the holtel!

The room was very nice. It's not huge but has all the essentials and lots of pillows which we love. I had a family of five and we had two rooms and we fit nicely. The big downfall is the restaurant. For a middle grade hotel the restaurant was too expensive. $60 for breakfast. Hopefully they move this reastaurant to the other Sheraton and something more affordable here. A complimentary continental buffet would be nice for business and tourist in a rush. Also the indoor pool is small and no hot tub. Pretty good location for tourist.

Going Back For SURE!!

We arrived after driving for 10 hours! Fell into the most comfortable beds! The staff remembered our names and interacted with my daughter like we were family. It was a nice feeling after touring DC from 9 am to 6 pm with a 7 year old! The pool was a welcome spot. Mydaughter swam while I recovered on a nice chaise lounge!!

The Four Points Sheraton is in an ideal location, if you happen to be in DC on business and want a place to stay right downtown. It’s also walking distance from the Mall, but not if the weather is less than bearable. If you are interested in nightlife or are looking for someplace a little more romantic, you’re better off staying near DuPont Circle, where there are more bars and restaurants. I should mention that we did walk to the DuPont Circle area, which wouldn’t have been a bad walk if it wasn’t so hot out (about 25 minutes.) There is also a microbrewery/bar/restaurant (Capital City Brewery) nearby around 11th and I streets.

The Four Points Sheraton is all business. The Lobby is nice (though not elegant) and the rooms are functional. My room on the 7th floor had a decent view, really comfortable beds, a nice bathroom, a coffee maker, and all the normal stuff. Sheets, towels, toiletries provided were of average quality. There’s a pool on the top floor, which looked nice, although I didn’t have a chance to go in.

We ordered room service by putting the little menu on the doorknob before midnight the night before. It was expensive (as is customary for a hotel like this), but the food was pretty disappointing. Granola was not an option, cereal options were limited, and the cereal came in little boxes (like the ones I had when I was a kid – not very fancy.) My boyfriend had eggs, which were overcooked.

My recommendation for this hotel would be to stay there if you can find a good rate (under $80) and you are more interested in the Smithsonian and the White House than the nightlife. Note that parking is also expensive ($22), so add that to your budget if you have a car.

We arrived at the hotel at noon and even though we were early for check-in, we were cheerfully greeted by the staff. Check-in went very quickly and we were shown to our room on the third floor. The room was very pleasantly furnished: TV armoire, two comfortable double beds, nightstand, table and chair. The closet had a safe inside which we used. There is a restaurant on site, "Corduroy's" that offered room service. The concierge and front desk staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations. The hotel is conveniently located near a Metro Station; the Franklin Park stop is one block away. We were allowed to check our luggage when we check out and we picked it up later that afternoon.

Sheraton Four Points is just a Metro ride away from the museums and attractions in DC.
