Disappointing

Great location, mediocre service and facility in general. Asked for an upper level room with a city view, got a 4th floor room overlooking the heat system exhaust. Was moved on request. Rooms are small, bathroom is small, much more like a basic 2-3 star hotel than what you would expect from Sheraton. Most furniture throughout the hotel showed a good bit of wear. Doors slam and gaps under the doors fostered a noisy experience. Questionable whether or not room fridge was working. Very little in the way of extras or service. I expect much more from Sheraton. However...the bed was comfy and I had a great night sleep!

I don't know from where to start. This is the first time in my life I have stayed in a place with such abysmal service and state of cleanliness. The entrance, foyer, elevators are all okay. The problem started when I entered the room. The windows are so small that I felt claustrophobic! The view was that of a back alley. I requested a room change and was put in a room with a strong cigarette smell, although they claim be a non-smoking hotel. I requested a room change for a second time, and this room was ok, but again had those small windows. The bathroom was very very small. It looked old and very ordinary. The sink is very small. The tub didn't look very clean. The complimentary soap, shampoo etc stank big time! Room service took forever to clean the room the next day. The lighting in the room is very poor. The bed wasn't too comfy; the pillows are very bad and I woke up with a bad neck and a scratchy throat. Room furniture looked shabby. The table had its drawer missing. The single chair in the room was half-broken. Beware of the in-house restaurant 'Corduroy'. It is a joke and a total rip-off. They charged me $12 for a continental breakfast - 2 slices of bread and orange juice. Water was extra!!! No kidding. And a 18% service charge on top of it. The pool was okay, gym was passable. To summarize, a terrible place to stay when you are traveling for business or pleasure or anything else. Not worth the money at all. Please do yourself and your family/friends a favor and stay away from this hotel.

Nice place to stay

I am student traveller and was in DC downtown attending a conference at the Hilton. Four points was conveniently located about 1.7 miles from my conference hotel. Friendly front desk (especially the gents) and nice lounge. There is gift shop on the first floor, a little expensive than the items sold at the Reagan Airport. The Phillipino saleswoman was relutctant to give me a discount despite buying so many souvenirs. There is Suntrust ATM next door and other ATM and banks located within 100meters. Corner Bakery ( opens 7.30 am and closses at 4pm) is just two blocks along K street, where I had most of my meals and. Quiznos sub is just a block and is open till 10pm. These were the relatively cheap places to eat and cost around $* per meal. This area was safe even at night. A taxi will cost less than $* within the Zone. The Limo which took from the Hotel to the Airport charged $*. A normal taxi would have charged $*. The White House is within 15 minutes of walking. The famous Pennsylvania Avenue too is closeby and I did most of the site seeing on foot. I stayed 2 nights and 3 days. The prices would have been significantly lower if I had booked at least 3 weeks ahead. Nice place to stay even for a family and I would reccommend this place .

More than adequate

Hotel was very well located for a tourist's trip to DC, just a few blocks from almost everything I wanted to see/do, and neighborhood felt safe at night. Hotel staff was one of the friendliest and most professional I've experienced in a long time. They gave us free maps and great restaurant recommendations. My only regret was sharing a room with 2 other adults. Perhaps this is the norm for downtown DC hotel rooms, but it was too small for 3 adults and our luggage. We were tripping over each other to walk around the super comfortable beds.

Overall a very nice place to stay. We walked all around the mall; and to restaurants and movies. The pool smelled of too much chlorine so I passed on swimming. Great service from staff.
