We stayed for 4 nights. It's like a mini resort on a smaller footprint. Loved the bay view on one side of the room and the beach out the other side. The suite is nice for families. Kids loved the pool with the waterfalls. Kids club was a great option as well...something to do every hour. Food was ok...loved that there was a shopping plaza immediately next door that includes small sandwich shops, ice cream, stores and the infamous Columbia restaurant.

The hotel staff was wonderful to us. I got stung by a stingray at Sand Key Park and the staff provided a wheel chair and brought bandages to our room, etc. They called to check on me the next day the front desk was wonderful. They provided all the stuff we needed for the beach including toys, floats, towels, and chairs. Despite the excruciating pain from the stingray wound, we had a lovely time and I'd recommend this hotel just because the location is beautiful, the staff is helpful, and the people in the area(we met a LOT from going to pharmacies, urgent care, eating out, etc) were very friendly and helpful.

We love this Marriott at Sand Key for several reasons....first, the service, the staff is great and if you can't find what your looking for their more than happy to assist you. The views from the rooms are beautiful especially if your on a high floor, very clean and cozy, the pool is great, usually a lot of families with kids but still enjoyable. The beach is a short walk across the street but a golf cart shuttle is available to and from. Dinner in Watercolors is terrific, the other food ok if you just want something light. There are lots of great restaurants close by like Salt Rock and Bonefish for romantic dinner and Shells just up the road for lunch or dinner, more casual and family friendly, great outside patio with Tiki Bar right on the water. Lots to do, Clearwater just up the road, or take a ride out on one of the party boats. The hotel Lobby is tastefully decorated and there is also a resident parrot named Lisa to greet you while you check in. We really can't say that there is anything we didn't like about our stay here. The staff truly does and will go out of there way to satisfy ever need you may have in an effort to insure that you have a pleasant, enjoyable and memorable stay. Very relaxing - it felt like a vacaction. We will most certainly be going back - soon! :)

My husband and I just got back from our third year at Marriott sand Key. He is a quadriplegic and the acccomodations are nearly pefect. If you have a handicap they do a great job to accommodate you The boardwalk is fantastic! You really don't need a car at all. We had a great week again! GREAT STAFF! Only 1 complaint....they charge 9.95 for internet. However you can get free access in various hot spots.

We loved the Marriott Sand Key. The check-in service was excellent. Upon check-in, we were given a small tour of the lobby, restaraunt and shops. We were told about the kdis programs and shown where to go if we chose to particiapte. We stayed for 4 days/3 nights. One night, my daughter was working on her homework and needed white out. The front dest was happy to give her a bottle. On the final night of our stay, I had a terrible headache and my children wanted a snack. The gift shop was closed. My daughters came back to the room and told me it had closed. They called the front dest and asked if there were vending machines where they could buy advil and snacks. The front desk told them to come on down and they would open the store for them and just charge our room.! That is service. The restaruant had amazing food and excellen service! My children loved Lisa, the macaw, who greated us each time we walked through the lobby! The rooms were nice, but not what I had expected for the price, but the service made the price well worhwhile! This will always be our hotel of choice in the Tampa area! 5 Stars from me!
