A very nice hotel though a bit pricey

The room was very nice. The towels and bed linens were luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the balcony was great for the sunset on the red rocks. A short hike to the creek out back was worth it. The staff was courteous, though not familiar enough with the $5 daily Red Rock pass to know if we could purchase one in advance for the next day. The hotel is in the heart of 'uptown' Sedona, which is full of tourist stores (not many art studios). Being from a tourist town myself, the location was a little disappointing but my own fault for not researching the area enough. The room was missing shampoo and coffee, but they promptly brought some when we made the request. We stayed at 5 different hotels during our vacation, and the free continental breakfast was most delicious at this one.
