NOISY, NOISY, NOISY

Although the staff was very courteous, the bay window was single pane glass and there were sirens running all night long and I think I could have heard a bicyle pedalling by on the street 9 floors below me. I requested a fan to drown out the noise and was provided one but the room was a constant 75 degrees and when I turned the air conditioner to 50 degrees it made no difference. When I called the front desk to complain at 2 am, they told me to "open a window" which would have made the noise even worse. Location was handy for the trade show but uncomfortable beds and sirens at night don't make for a very restful sleep. I will go elsewhere next time. Very small room.

We were here on a small getaway visiting family and we had a great time. The staff was always pleasant and professional. Great breakfast and reception in the evening. The location is perfect to the inner harbor. There is some traffic, but that's to be expected, you're in a large developed urban city. Often people write reviews to complain about dumb things, usually cheap people. Valet parking and resort fee was reasonable, great value for a big city. You guys went above and beyond. Keep up the great job! We will be back!

Not for the faint of heart

We had hoped we would not run into the same problems other reviewers had, but unfortunately, we did. We ran into the $10/day charge for the ?free? stuff. XXX, at the travel agency, could not help. After speaking with Joy, at the front desk, for quite a while, she finally agreed to waive the charge. So we finally went to our room. It was not a suite. In fact, this was one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever seen. You could barely move around. I called the desk and spoke with Joy again. She assured me our reservation was for a regular room, even though it clearly says "Room type: Suite". She blamed the travel agency. Based on other reviews I have read, I tend to doubt that. But she said she would look into it. 15 minutes later, she called and said she would do a "courtesy" upgrade to a suite. Saved me another call to Frank. The room was nice for a suite, lots of room. The fridge was locked, and we didn?t take a chance getting it unlocked. There are no vending machines, they want you to buy out of the overpriced stocked fridge. There is a hospital nearby, so you hear sirens all day and all night. Very noisy! Housekeeping never came the first day, so another call to the front desk. When we came back later, we found two clean towels on the bed. That was it, they didn?t take the dirty towels or clean the room or make the bed or do anything else. The breakfast was very nice, but get there early because they don?t restock when the food is gone. If you can get a -really- good deal, the hassles may be worth it, otherwise I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst bed and expensive parking

The Brookshire Suite sounds great, however it is located on one of the busiest streets in the Inner Harbor. The street noise was from 5 am to 12pm, sometimes later. The room was extremely small and the bed was very hard with flat pillows. The parking rates were awful. We should have done valet. It was only 29.00 a day. However we parked in a pay parking deck and paid 97.00 for three days. The only good thing about it was the staff was friendly and the location was close to the Inner Harbor. Live and Learn. My advice choose another hotel.

breakfast very good. Location great. Room dank but ok. Not the delux room we had booked. Whatever your rate, add $* per night "facility charge". No one was sure exactly what the fee covered, but it seems to have been for the "complimentary" extras.
