The staff was generally courteous and the facility was clean. The bathtub however had very poor drainage even though the room was on the second floor. I had to stand in ankle deep water while taking a shower. The best thing about this hotel was it's handiness to the interstate and to downtown Chatlottesville.

We had a softball tournament the same weekend that University of Virginia had a home game. The hotel was FULL.
We had no problem with the staff. They were friendly and accommodating.
THE ROOM
The room seemed to be one of the smallest in the hotel. When we brought the Hotel Luggage cart into the room, we could not get completely in because the room was so small, the chair beside the TV was in the way.
Again, we immediately found challenges with this room. The lamp switch between the beds didn't work. The only way to turn on the lamps was to plug it in. However, only one light lit because the switch was broken.
The next morning we found that the coffeemaker in the bathroom didn't work. Why do they put coffeemakers in the bathroom anyway? No problem, we'll go downstairs later for the continental breakfast.
Then, we all took showers only to find that the drain was partially stopped because the water crept up around our legs.
BREAKFAST
Because the hotel was packed, they had a problem keeping the complimentary breakfast refilled. When my daughter wanted cereal, there was no milk. There was no fruit, and the attendant was simply unable to keep up.
Other than that, it was a NICE hotel. Surely if we stayed there again, we would not get the same room twice.
My advice is to stay clear of UVA home games.
Would we stay here again, sure we would. Lightening can't strike the same place twice can it?

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable with great pillows!! The pool could have been alittle cleaner but overall, I'd stay there again. Good nights sleep for a reasonable price!

The only problem with this hotel was that we requested a non smoking room and it stunk of smoke. It really burns me when smokers get non smoking rooms becuz even they can't stand the stink!Otherwise the hotel itself was quite pleasant.

The staff was extremely rude, I requested a wake up call, and not only did the person act like it was an inconvenience to him, but I didn't get the wake up call. The bathroom had some sort of stuff --- who knows what --- on the floor, the shower curtain was mildewed, and they put me in a smoking room (I am a non-smoker)!!!!
