This is a great hotel. The staff went out of their way to be friendly & accomidating. Property was very clean, including the indoor pool. Breakfast has a large variety and consistantly refilled. We will be staying at this hotel very often.
Fully met expectations

Very pleased with this motel. Staff was extremely friendly. Property appeared to be a little older, but room was neat and clean. In my case, I had 3 adults and 2 children. My room, as advertised, was a 2 queen suite + a pull out sofa. I appreciated that the sheets, blankets, and pillows for the pullout sofa were already in the room. The room was a little larger than a normal hotel room to accomodate the pullout sofa. It had a small kitchenette with refridgerator, sink, and microwave (I think).
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from Sugar Mtn and a few more from Beech Mtn.
Be aware pacakge stores close at 9:00pm.
Generous continental breakfast was included with room and featured scrambled eggs and belgian waffles in addition to the normal mix of toast, pastrys, etc.
Heated indoor pool was well lit.
Free Wifi thoughout hotel as well as two laptops available for use included in rate.
They had the luggage carts in the front lobby, which you don't see much anymore. I took full advantage of this becuase of all of the bags of ski clothes.
The only thing I did not like about the hotel was paying an additional $10 for an "extra person" for a 4 yr old child. The rate was based on 4 people, I had 5. As friendly as the front desk was, I imagine I could have gotten them to waive this, but I did not try.
Great experience, great value!

We travel to the NC mountains every year during "the peak week of fall color" for our anniversary. Sometimes it's a hit or miss with both the peak time and the hotel room we book. This year was definitely a "hit" on both parts!
The hotel was large, quiet, and clean. The lobby had a lodge look complete with a huge roaring fire in the fireplace. There is a game room, indoor swimming pool, and fitness room, although we didn't have time to use the pool or fitness equipment on this trip. They also provide a continental breakfast. There was an abundance of pillows and towels in our room. Even though the hotel is close to a busy road, the room was surprisingly quiet! And, for once, we slept on a bed with a mattress that was comfortable! The staff was helpful and courteous. Checkout was the easiest we have ever experienced!
There is a 50s type diner next door to the hotel, and many other eating establishments, along with shopping possibilites, close by.
We were extremely pleased with our experience with this hotel! We definitely plan on staying with this hotel again next October!
OK, but.

This was a nice property, with indoor pool and more. The staff was slow, first giving me an unmade room, then taking a long time to rectify it. I had to try the key card several times to open the door, recoding it didn't help. The street was hard to enter from the parking lot, due to traffic. The area is nice and has a lot to offer.
Quick mountain trip

The king-sized bed had plush bedding and was very comfortable. The lobby decor is reminiscent of a lodge - very pretty. Hotel is in a convenient location just off the intersection of Hwy 105 and 321. Easy to get to everything in Boone.
