Super stay!

We can't say enough good things about the Radisson. They were very accommodating when we asked to change our room the first night (noise from a nearby elevator). And then on Saturday, rain prevented a family picnic at the park after our granddaughter's high school graduation. The Radisson made a room available to us, no charge. And it's a lovely place centrally located. We will definitely stay there when we visit Flagstaff again.

Cozy, Comfortable, CLEAN

Well appointed, comfortable and really clean. I wish I could have spent more than one night there. The town was interesting and I would have liked to explore it more.

Don't bother

We paid a modest increase for a "sleep number" bed which is nothing more than an air mattress. They should discount rooms with these, not charge extra. The hotel is in the newer part pf town and looks new on the outside but the room could definitely use a remodel. The Woodlands cafe was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Flagstaff has always been a difficult place to find a decent room at any price and my stay just reaffirms this. Our room had 2 queens even though I requested a king and the view was of the roof and the false front over the hotel entry. I don't know where I would stay if I return to Flag but it won't be here.

A great stay at a nice place

I booked at Radisson Woodlands at the last minute, after deciding to visit Flagstaff on a whim. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and there was a complimentary bottle of water in the room, quite important in the dry environment. The restaurant was excelent for what it was (not a fine dining establishment, but better than some places I've been recently that claim to be). I ate in the sushi restaurant once, the preparation and service were well done, but some of the fish was so-so (particularly the shiro maguro). My only complaints about this hotel was that the air conditioning was a bit on the loud side, and housekeeping did not make it to my room on a day when I got a late start. If I find myself back in Flagstaff, this will definately be my first choice of hotel.

Heating/cooling system is VERY loud. The air event is near the ceiling by the hallway, and it was moving the heavy curtain at the window on the other end of the room. In our room, the wall unit to control heating and cooling wasn't working - the fan stayed on no matter what we did with the wall unit. Maintenance attempted twice to fix it without success, and finally disconnected it. We asked for a different room, but only smoking rooms were available, so we stuck it out for the night, thinking that we would discuss a price adjustment at check-out. You know that Radisson pledge to 'make it right or you don't pay for that portion of your stay?' Don't believe it. At checkout, I mentioned that the ventilation system didn't work, and that maintenance had attempted twice to fix it and failed, and that we would be interested in a price break. The young desk clerk told me that she wouldn't adjust the price because we had prepaid. In other words, we got your money, take a hike. No apology. No regrets expressed. No apparent concern that a repair was needed. No smile. It can be tough to find a room in Flagstaff, but I advise that you avoid the Radisson. Arrogant treatment (other than the maintenance guy - he knew more about customer service than anyone at the front desk), high price, noisy ventilation, basic worn room, no breakfast, ...We stayed at the La Quinta a few nights before, and had a better room at half the price.
