Good Value and not a beach scene

Not the rambunctious activity of a typical beach hotel--thank goodness. Great value. I stay in Courtyard's a lot, but this was less expensive, so I gave it a shot. Internet access was flawless, and the room was very clean. Could use a better mattress, but that would be the only complaint. Breakfast was sufficient with waffle maker and sausage and eggs. Good Coffee!
It is a great location right off the Strip on the Bay side. Would definitely stay again for business.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. Very friendly staff and maid service. Very knowledgeable about area. Pool was nice and pool towels available, Would stay again. Very easy checkin- no problems

At first, I was a bit reluctant to step into the doors. But once I did I found it to be a great decision. The rooms were clean when we got there. The overall facility was great as there was a small pool with a hot tub, as well as a gym and a business center, fitted with two computers, a fax machine, and other office necessities(all of which i took full advantage). The staff was great. I really thought i would find at least one grouch, but not a single one there. One night, i was locked out of my room and they kindly provided me with a key. They also helped me mail a postcard. The free breakfast was delicious, especially the waffles. The atmosphere was modest, and quite, but still filled with a warm family centered air. The hotel is located within distance of any major attractions or hotspots in destin, such as Big Kahuna's Waterpark beside it. Within walking distance of shopping centers(tried it but i would not recommend crossing big Destin roads, as they are full of fast traffic). Only inconvenient thing was that the room service would only clean up where none of our stuff was. Anything else was off limits to them. Overall, loved the service and the place. Will most likely return.

this was our second spring break stay at the wingate. the hotel is clean, the price affordable, and the free hot breakfast is great. the breakfast consists of breakfast breads, cereals, sausage, eggs/omelets, belgian waffles, fruit, and coffee and juice. hot water is available for instant oatmeal. the breakfast is great! the hotel staff is excellent, anytime we needed anything it was brought to us promptly. the maid service was okay...if you leave anything personal on any furniture item in the room that item will not be cleaned...which i can kind of understand, but if a sock is left on the bed and therefore the bed is not made, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. we did have that issue and made sure we moved all of our belongings so the beds would be made. my husband and i did use the fitness center, the elliptical machine works, but the time and programs could not be set, so i had to use it manually. check in and out were flawless. i booked online and requested a ground level room, which was accomodated. my child enjoyed the pool, the hot tub was nice. the public beach access is less than 5 minutes away by car. we always enjoy our stay at the wingate and will return.
