From the start the staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk was fast and very accomadating. They switched my room to one that can view the ocean. The room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet and very relaxing. The pool is one of the best that my family used. The location is unmatchable. They have their own private beach where you can walk to from pool. As far as the other hotels in Clearwater Beach, This is the one to stay at. It is a quiet, family oriented hotel. I went on a vacation with my wife and two daughters and can not wait to go back again. This is my second vacation at the Sheraton Sand Key and I will make a third. I highly recommend this Hotel!!!!

Very thin walls.

This is a beautiful hotel, but the walls in our room were not insulated well. We could hear people on both sides of us very well and there were noises through the night that kept us up. We had to keep turning the air conditioner on to drown out the noises. The bathroom also had very little counter space. The staff was very nice and pleasant and the ocean view was beautiful The beach is nice, but quite a walk from the hotel. It would be nice if they had a boardwalk out to the beach.

this hotel was spotless clean and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The pool is very nice and it has a great beach. Food at this hotel was great and very reasonably priced. It has a 24 hour shop for snacks, necessities etc.

The cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at

We loved the Sand Key Resort. The hotel was immaculate, the beds extremely comfortable and the staff very nice and accomodating. The pool was beautifully landscaped. The beach was beautiful. However, although it is a beachfront hotel, the walk from the hotel to the beach was probably between 1/8 to a 1/4 of a mile. Once there, you can rent for $25 a day a beach cabana complete with wonderful lounge chairs. It would have been nice if the cabana had been included in the cost of the resort, but it was definitely worth the money, as the sun can be very strong even in December. The restaurants all served delicious foods of varying levels of sophistication and price. The snack bar at the pool was especially convenient at lunch. It got a little pricey feeding my family of five, three meals a day for a 5 day visit. However, one could always opt to leave the resort for lower cost meals. Overall, we loved the resort & would return again very happily.

Good location away from Clearwater Beach proper and right next to park. Didn't feel that crowded at pool or anywhere in hotel. Fitness center was quite decent and allowed us to work out every day we were here, although it does cost extra. Upside of that is that it keeps the little and not so little kids from breaking the equipment. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beach is quite a ways away from the hotel (5 min walk) - but I noticed that was true for all the hotels on Sand Key gulf side. The result is that the beach feels empty. All in all a terrific vacation and we are picky people. . Best thing about this hotel from my standpoint is that it's right across the street from the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, which rents out sailboats - reasonable prices and selection of boats. It's worth checking out if you're into sailing.
